Committees

In June 2002, GDLN LAC held its Regional Annual Workshop in Panama City, Panama. This Workshop established the working committees as quick-moving instruments to act responsively to the core issues influencing the Network’s day-to-day work and its future. The members of the committees are from the Distance Learning Centers (DLCs) belonging to the Network. Each committee has four or five members and is headed by a representative working in one of the DLCs. Additionally, each committee has the backstopping of a member of the World Bank team coordinating the GDLN program. The Network’s committees are as follows:

Academic Committee
The Academic Committee makes sure that the activities and programs offered within the Network meet the quality standards established by the Network. To learn more about this committee, visit the page on Quality.
Impact Assessment Committee
Measuring how the Network, through its activities and programs, is achieving a positive impact on development, is the work of the Impact Assessment Committee. To learn more about this committee, visit the page on Evaluation.
Marketing Committee
The Marketing Committee is responsible for formulating strategies for promotion, fund-raising and institutional communication for the Network. To learn more about this committee, visit the page on Marketing.
