| Once Centers
participation has materialized, the Offering Partner and each participating Center
signs an Activity Agreement. This component of the Activity Management System
provides the opportunity to discuss and register agreements regarding each partys
roles and responsibilities and costs (if any) regarding the offering of the event.
Clarification of these issues is key to the activitys success. The
Activity Agreement contains five sections: (i.) description of the activity with
dates and times; (ii.) roles and responsibilities; (iii.) financial arrangements;
(iv.) intellectual property rights; (v.) signature page. All sections must
be discussed and agreed upon by all parties involved; the terms are negotiated
within the Systems discussion mechanism. Approximately two weeks prior to
the offering of a global dialogue and four weeks prior to the offering of a course,
the agreement is signed between the programs Offering Partner, the participating
Center and Coordinator of the GDLN Services team. After offering the activity,
once the invoices have been processed, the GDLN Accountant provides the last signature
and the Activity Agreement is closed .
