Who are we - Coordinating Unit
The Distance Learning Centers (DLC)

 Who are we?
This unique alliance of public, private and non-governmental organizations is a totally interactive network with multiple channels, and the mandate to serve the developing world. Organizations belonging to GDLN work together to take advantage of the most modern technologies, build local capacities, share their expertise and knowledge.

  • We are a strong, participatory collaboration among Distance Learning Centers from the countries of the Latin America and the Caribbean Region, sponsored by academic, civil-society, private-sector and governmental institutions.

  • We are also supported by the World Bank's Knowledge Management Team for Latin America and the Caribbean, that coordinates, jointly with the Centers, to facilitate the development of the Network and its programming, serving as a liaison among the needs for dialogue and training and the multiple programming providers from all over the world.

  • We also enjoy the collaboration of the GDLN Services Unit, who provide us with the systems and policies required to carry out the learning programs in all regions. To learn more about any of these groups, please consult the diagram.
