Mexico’s Health Secretariat Offers Seminars on Innovations in Health Systems
April 2, 2004 - Mexico City, Mexico.- Mexico’s Health Secretariat launched the Second Discussion Forum Seminars on “The Science of Complexity and Chaos as Innovation Sources in the 2004 Health System.” By way of the cooperation established by GDLN Mexico – The National Polytechnic Institute, the seminar series will be offered to Latin American and Caribbean public and private sector health-related officials. Said officials will be able to participate in the seminars from their respective local GDLN center.

The Discussion Forum Seminars look to 1. complement concepts of the first Seminar “The Science of Chaos and Non Linearity”. 2. present new ideas on evolution, analogical thought, economics and finance, epidemiology, and dynamics in conflict in systems of the human body; 3. present physical-mathematical non lineal tools for technical administrative functions in health systems.

The Forums consist of a total of eleven seminars which will be offered between April and June of 2004. The first two seminars had the national participation of Ecuador and Mexico by way of the respective GDLN centers and addressed the topics of “Complex Systems and Simple Mapping” and “Dynamics in Conflict and Cardio Beats”.
