Improving Bank Business Series – Nicaragua Health Services Modernization Project
April 2, 2004 – Washington DC, USA.- The GDLN Health Program launched the “Improving Bank Business” series this week by holding an interactive session which connected the Washington DC based Project Managers with the Nicaragua based Project Implementation Unit (PIU). The purpose of the meeting was to conduct an evaluation on the Nicaragua Health Services Modernization Project, thus supporting the evaluation phase of the project cycle

Through the Improving Bank Business Series, GDLN will be made available as a supporting tool for the Project Cycle which can help to reduce project costs, increase supervision, and balance work/life demands. As part of the Program, GDLN will support the complete project cycle in all phases: Identification - Preparation - Initial Evaluation - Negotiations - Implementation and Supervision - Evaluation.

The GDLN Health Approach will also feature a LAC MDG Policy Dialogues Series, the Milestone Dialogues Series featuring innovative contributions in the field of public health, and the Open Offering series made possible through external partnerships with sector-focused organizations. The GDLN Health Approach has been jointly developed by the World Bank’s Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) Health Unit and the GDLN LAC coordinating team.
