Ed Rural Alliance - A collaboracion in capacity building and dialogue for the development of the Rural Space

The Ed Rural Alliance was inaugurated in February 2005 with the aim of increasing the impact in the rural area of different activities through policy dialogue, the exchange of empirical teachings and the creation of capacity building programs using distance interaction methods through GDLN and increasing the collaboration between the 16 organizations participating.

The first session, "Drivers of Sustainable Rural Growth and Poverty Reduction in Central America", took place on February 15, 2005. The series of exchanges were transmitted through a video conference technology across eight GDLN centers throughout the Latin America and the Caribbean region -Chile, Costa Rica (IICA), Washington, Ecuador (Globatel), Mexico (IPN), Argentina and Honduras.
